I never imagined being an introvert would be an advantage when I was a boy. I spent endless hours escaping into comic books and tales from around the world, travelling through time and space without taking a single step.
Then when I got behind the lens, I found a new escapism, one that enabled me to capture effortless moments and lock them in time. A simple brush of a hand against a cheek, a lone bird flying across the open sky, an old man watching time pass with a cigarette hanging loosely from his lip. I started out as a street photographer, observing silently from the sidelines. This is the essence of how I work today, eight years on. I leave moments to unfold naturally and capture them in a documentary style.
It's important for me to to let my couples enjoy intimacy and time together on their day so creating space for them during the shooting is a big part of capturing raw emotional and beautiful images.
Many of my couples have told me they feel uncomfortable being photographed, a big part of my job is ensuring my couples have fun and are at ease throughout, let's put it this way - none of those couples are ready to end the session once we start!
Telling love stories, has to be the most beautiful job in the entire world and I feel so fortunate that I get to work closely with couples who invite me into such an intimate and emotional time in their lives.
One of the reasons why my photography style continues to evolve is how inspired I become in every session, each couple is unique in their beautiful way. And, I believe there is always space to learn more and grow. I can honestly say, I am always challenging myself to play with new styles, get more creative and wow my couples beyond belief.
I confess that I’m a nerd. I can spend days on end absorbed in comics, indie movies, listening to podcasts about history, or anything interesting for that matter. I have a curious mind and I push myself to become better in every area of my life.
I am a person who falls in love with the small pleasures of life. I have learned to enjoy every day, whether it's a walk with my dogs or a good conversation over wine.
When I'm not working, which is not often, I don't stop creating. Whether it's a podcast, a new project or planning a trip for the future. I'm one of those people who never get bored.
I'm passionate about a good book, a motorcycle ride without anyone knowing where I am, or just a time of contemplation.
Although if given the choice, a good movie with my wife is all I need to have a perfect day.
Inspiration can appear anywhere, but when you're curious, even the most mundane things become incredible in your eyes.
Ever since I was little I've looked up at the sky, ever since I knew we were floating in a giant ball in an infinite universe, I was captivated by the idea of our own fragility and the magic of us being here.
A gesture of two old men in the street, the color of palm trees in a Costa Rican sunset or the melody of a song coming from a balcony as we pass by.
The beauty of capturing a wedding is precisely that, that everything is reproduced, in a single space and a single day. Magical, don't you think?
Opi, three letters that changed my whole world.

At the same time, she is the most incredible wedding planner in the world and we're sooo good together.

HE DID SO MUCH MORE THAN TAKE BEAUTIFUL PHOTOS... HE CAPTURED THE VERY MOOD AND ESSENCE OF THE DAY AND WHO WE ARE AS A COUPLE. NOT MANY VENDORS TAKE THE TIME AND EFFORT TO CREATE WORK OF THIS QUALITY.

Her photography is delicacy, pure essence, naturalness.
